S M Mohsin in critical condition; requires plasma

Ekushey Padak winning theatre activist and actor S M Mohsin tested positive for Covid-19, and was undergoing treatment at the Intensive Care Unit of Impulse Hospital in Tejgaon.

The news was confirmed to the Daily Star by the General Secretary of Directors' Guild, Kamruzzaman Sagor.

Currently, the actor is admitted to BIRDEM General Hospital. Director Animesh Aich told The Daily Star today that A+ plasma is urgently required for S M Mohsin's treatment. "Those who are willing to donate, may contact the numbers, 01717942403 and 01711979189," he added. 

 S M Mohsin is renowned for projects like "Rokte Bheja Shapla", "Kabar" and "Chithi".

He acted in theatre productions "Dipantar", "Subachan Nirbasane", "Chup Adalat Cholchhe" and small screen productions entitled "Mahar Ali", "Sakin Sarisuri", "Garam Bhat Athaba Nichhak Bhuter Galpa", "Nilambari", among others.

His silver screen outings were "Chitra Nodir Pare" and "Brihannala".
