THE YEAR GONE BY CHEERFUL TIMES FOR YOUNG SINGERS

Yet another year of music industry has passed with a number of events. 2015 was the cheerful year especially for young singers. Here's a look at the year's ups and down of the industry.

New generation singers passed busy hours with stage shows all year round. Close Up-1 star Beauty, Kona, Rinku, Liza and Sabbir had tight schedule this time.

Popular young singer Porshi made her film debut with “Mental”. Dhallywood heartthrob Shakib Khan is her co-star in the project.

Another Close Up-1 star, Pulok, directed music for the film “Shunno” for the first time.

In 2015, singer Konal directed a TV programme titled “Ganner Khela”. She emceed it too. 

Habib Wahid released a music video, featuring different genres of songs.

Hridoy Khan and Suzana got divorced. On the other hand, singer Sandhi tied the knot with Urmi.

Popular band LRB celebrated its 25th anniversary in the year. Popular singer Elita released her solo album named “Elita” after a long pause. 

Bappa Mazumder acted in the TV play “Midnight Black Coffee”. Another renowned singer, Samina Chowdhury, also appeared in the drama.

Apart from this, singer Jon Kabir appeared in a number of plays. Tahsan was also seen acting in several dramas. 

The iconic Runa Laila completed her fifth decade in music in 2015.

Momtaz appeared in a TVC of Grameenphone as model. It became very popular. 

Probhash Projonmo Japan, an organisation of expatriates, hounoured singer couple Rafiqul Alam and Abida Sultana.

Two veteran artistes of the industry--Lucky Akhand and Alauddin Ali -- fell seriously ill in the year. Both went abroad for treatment.
