Runa Laila explores new grounds
Legendary singer Runa Laila has bedazzled audiences through the decades on and off stage with her mesmerising vocals, but the artiste has now turned her irrefutable talents to composing a musical score for the first time in her 52-year career.
The aforementioned song-number is to feature in Alamgir's directorial venture “Ekti Cinema'r Golpo”. Alamgir's daughter Akhi Alamgir is set to provide vocals for the song. Titled “Golpo Kotha'r Oi Kolpoloke Jaani, Ekdin Chole Jabo…”, the song is written by renowned lyricist Gazi Mazharul Anwar. Runa Laila informed that the song has already been recorded, which will later be lip-synced by Rituporna once shooting commences from September 9.
“Ekti Cinema'r Golpo” is scripted, directed and produced by Alamgir.
