Kamal Ahmed receives Adwaita Mallabarman award

Cultural personality Kamal Ahmed recently received the Adwait Mallabarman Memorial Award from Maharaja Beerbikram University in Agartala, India. The award was handed to him for his contributions towards Bangladesh Betar, the state-owned radio of Bangladesh.

Kamal Ahmed is a director of Bangladesh Betar, and a Rabindra Sangeet singer. He has worked extensively on our Language Movement, Liberation War and Bangabandhu.

Adwaita Mallabarman (1914-1951) was a Bengali Indian writer, mostly known for his novel “Titash Ekti Nodi'r Naam”, which was immortalised on film by Ritwik Ghatak.
