Bubly moving forward

Bubly is inarguably one of the fastest rising stars in the showbiz industry today. After the success of her first film, 'Bossgiri', she did not have to look back and has won several accolades including the prestigious Meril-Prothom Alo award for 'Best Newcomer'. The diva talks to The Daily Star about her year, and what she looks forward to as her career progresses.

What are you currently busy with?

I am shooting for a film titled Ektu Prem Dorkar, which is directed by Shaheen from the famous Shaheen-Sumon duo. My character in the film is quite interesting, which I will not reveal now. I'm also in the talks for some other projects.

How was 2018 for you?

It went very well, thanks to the Almighty. Three of my films were released this year, Superhero, Chittagaingya Pola Noakhailla Maiya and Captain Khan. I can proudly say that all three did well in the box office. I am grateful to have been able to stay with my audience and give them something of substance.

How do you spend your spare time?

I'm usually at home watching movies and listening to music. I also prepare myself mentally for my upcoming roles. I like to drive and work out as well.

How many films do you want to do in a year?

Actually, I never aim for a certain number of projects. If I come across quality offers, I will go for it even if it means sacrificing the number of films I do in that particular year.

Do you have any resolutions for the new year?

My resolution is to keep being involved in good projects. I want my fans to know that I am grateful for their blessings and support.
