Amitabh Reza and Chanchal Chowdhury reunite for 'Munshigiri'
The poster of the much anticipated web film "Munshigiri" is out. The film, directed by Amitabh Reza Chowdhury, features prominent actor Chanchal Chowdhury in the lead role.
After the success of "Aynabaji", the Chowdhury duo have collaborated once again in this project. Thus, "Munshigiri" is a hot topic among television and film enthusiasts right now.
Chanchal will play Masud Munshi, an investigative police officer, while popular actor Purnima will be seen as Sumaiya, his wife.
"It is basically the story of the life of a police officer in Bangladesh," said the director to The Daily Star. "The story revolves around the life of Munshi, an investigative officer, and how he deals with his professional and personal life".
"The meat of the story will be mysteries about the cases he solves, where as details about his personal life will also be revealed," adds Amitabh Reza Chowdhury.
According to Amitabh, Chanchal is not just an immensely popular actor, but a great artiste with dedication. "I don't make films with heroes, but with artistes," he says.
On the other hand, Chanchal is grateful to the director for believing in him once again. "Aynabaji and Munshigiri could not be more different," says the actor. "This is the first time I have portrayed a DB officer, it was a new experience for me. I hope that the audience will like it."
Based on Shibabrata Barman's novel, "Mriterao Kotha Bole", the web film will be released on Chorki. The release date is yet to be announced.
