Mithila signs Arunava Khasnobis' anthology film 'Nitishastro'
Multitalented artiste Rafiath Rashid Mithila has signed up for Arunava Khasnobis directorial anthology film 'Nitishastro'.
The singer turned actor will be seen as Dr. Geeta Basu, in one of the episodes called 'Dhee'. According to Mithila, Dr. Basu is a strong woman, a single mother going through a dilemma in her life.
"When I learned about Dr. Geeta Basu, I found it very challenging and interesting how she deals with her problems," said Mithila to The Daily Star.
Mithila was featured in Rabiul Alam Rabi's anthology series 'Unoloukik' premiered on Chorki earlier this year.
"I love the format of anthology, as it is interesting, has different flavours packed in a common theme," told Mithila over the phone from Kolkata.
"I hope audience will have a great experience of watching the anthology in big screens," shared Mithila.
Prominent filmmaker Srijit Mukherji shared the news in his social media account. "The gap that you encounter when you read the report is not a page designing error," he wrote on Facebook, referring to the page design of an Indian news portal. " It is casual patriarchy literally whitewashed by Rafiath Rashid, who for the zillionth time, is a much bigger achiever than me, and only coincidentally my wife."
'Nitishastro' will also feature popular singers Iman Chakraborty and Bidipta Chakraborty, and renowned actor Rajatava Dutta among others.
The shooting of the film will begin from mid September. However, Mithila's slot is scheduled on September 25.
