91 more test Covid-19 positive in Cox’s Bazar
Ninety-one new and five previously diagnosed cases have tested positive for Covid-19 at the IEDCR field office in Cox's Bazar Government Medical College today.
Of the new 91 Covid-19 cases, five are Rohingya refugees from Myanmar, said Dr Anupam Barua, principal of the medical college.
The other detected cases are: 35 from Cox's Bazar Sadar upazila, 14 from Chakaria, seven from Ukhiya, four from Teknaf, 22 from Ramu and two from Pekua upazila.
Also, two samples, one each from Satkania and Chandgaon upazilas of Chattogram, tested positive at the same lab, Dr Anupam said.
A total 283 samples were tested at the lab today.
So far, 791 locals and 35 Rohingya refugees have tested positive for Covid-19 in Cox's Bazar district, while 17 have died, he added.
