23 to vie for each seat in CU admission test
The university authorities have sold 63,514 application forms for 2770 seats under 33 departments and two institutes and earned over Tk 1.58 crore.
A total of 12,808 forms have been sold against 670 seats under 'Ka' unit (physical and biological science), 11,646 against 712 seats under 'Kha' unit (arts faculty), 17,826 against 400 seats under 'Ga' unit (BBA), 11,323 against 440 seats under 'Gha' unit (social science faculty), 7,501 against 100 seats under 'Uma' unit (law faculty), 1396 against 48 seats under 'Cha' unit (forestry) and 1016 against 40 seats under 'Chha' unit (marine science).
A total of 75 candidates, the highest, will vie for each seat in the faculty of law.
UNB adds: The admission test of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) will be held on February 25 and 26, with 18 students vying for each seat.
The university authorities have sold 19,749 forms for its 1,135 seats and earned nearly Tk 60 lakh, campus sources said.
A total of 3,214 forms have been sold against 240 seats under 'Ka unit', while 7,007 against 435 seats under 'Kha unit', 2,703 against 140 seats under 'Ga unit' and 6,825 against 320 seats under 'Gha unit'.
