Photography book on children launched
The book titled 'Innocent Bangladesh' is the first photographic study of the children of the country. Eminent photographer and cinematographer Anwar Hossain edited the book.
Speaking as chief guest, Law Minister Moudud Ahmed said the basic rights of the children must be ensured as they are the future of the nation.
The government is committed to upholding the rights of the children and women, he said. In this context, he also mentioned the introduction of the 'safe custody' and 'day care centre' in Dhaka central jail.
Held at Poet Sufia Kamal Auditorium of National Museum, the function was also addressed by Dr Kamaluddin Siddiqui, principal secretary to the prime minister, and Prof Zubaida Gulshan Ara, chairperson of Shishu Academy.
Chief Editor of UNB and publisher of the book Enayetullah Khan presided over the ceremony.
