2nd Ctg Int'l Film Festival begins today
Chittagong Film Centre will organise the festival.
Noted singer and actor Prateeti Ghatak will formally inaugurate the festival at Almas Cinema Hall at 10:00 am. "Eti Shrikanta", directed by Anjan Das, will be screened at the inaugural session.
Some 45 films of 40 countries will be screened during the festival. Four films will be displayed everyday at Studio Theatre from December 10 to 16 and three at Muslim Institute Auditorium from December 14-16.
The participating countries are Nepal, Bhutan, Malaysia, France, India, Sri Lanka, Iran, Iraq, Bosnia, Serbia, Ireland, USA, Germany, United Kingdom, Latvia, Italy, Mexico, Turkey, Finland, Spain, Portugal, Norway, Argentina, Cuba, Afghanistan and Senegal.
Organisers said that a seminar on "role of quality film in building up healthy society" would be organised at Theatre Institute Auditorium tomorrow.
