The boxing icon who inspired many champions, in sports and life, Muhammad Ali is widely regarded as one of the most significant and renowned sports figures of the 20th century.

Diagnosed with Parkinson's syndrome after he retired from boxing, Mohammad Ali passed away on 3 June, last year in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Ranked as the greatest athlete of the 20th century by Sports Illustrated and the Sports Personality of the Century by the BBC, Mohammad Ali was also known for his public stance against the Vietnam War.

Here are some of the famous quotes by the Greatest:

-Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee. His hands can't hit what his eyes can't see. Now you see me, now you don't. George thinks he will, but I know he won't.

-It isn't the mountains ahead to climb that wear you out; it's the pebble in your shoe.

-Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.

-A man who has no imagination has no wings.

-Live everyday as if it were your last because someday you're going to be right.

-Hating people because of their color is wrong. And it doesn't matter which color does the hating. It's just plain wrong.
