Bangladesh Cricket: Mosaddek makes debut, Afghans to bowl first

Young Mosaddek Hossain Shaikat will get the opportunity to serve his country on the cricket field as he was selected in the Bangladesh team to face Afghanistan in the second game of the 3-match ODI series at Mirpur Stadium today.

The 20 year old cricketer, who bats right handed and bowls offspin took the domestic cricket circuit by surprise by his match-winning knocks for Abahani Limited during the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League this year. He is in the team in place of Imrul Kayes, reports our correspondent.

In the must-win match for Afghanistan today, their captain Asghar Stanikzai won the toss, and didn't hesitate to invite Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Mortaza to bat first. Afghanistan have made one change, with Nawroz Mangal coming in for Shabir Noori.
