Australia has pledged a grant of $5 million Australian dollars in humanitarian assistance for Rohingyas living in Cox's Bazar and Myanmar's Rakhine state.

The pledge came in response to a call of International Organisation for Migration (IOM) during an emergency meeting of 17 nations in Bangkok today in the wake of an unprecedented irregular migration in the Indian sea in recent months.
