Khaled Ahmed got rewarded for his consistent effort with the ball as the Bangladesh fast bowler picked his first five-wicket haul on day three of the Saint Lucia Test between Bangladesh and West Indies today.

Khaled picked three of the five wickets that fell today, including the prized scalp of centurion Kyle Mayers, who got out after scoring 148. The player from Sylhet, playing in his ninth Test, had the previous best figures of four for 94 against South Africa in Durban earlier this year.

The home side ended their first innings on 408 and with a strong first innings lead of 174 runs after Bangladesh were bundled out for 234 in their first innings on day one.
