Bangladesh fast-bowler Taskin Ahmed expressed his optimism and élan about the series-deciding ODI on October 12 against England as the Tigers geared up to leave for Chittagong today.

The Bangladesh national team's flight was scheduled to leave for the port city of Chittagong at 3:00pm.

"The entire team is confident after the win on Sunday, and I'm confident we can clinch the series at Chittagong on October 12," Taskin explained when he spoke to our correspondent at Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden hotel at 2:30pm before the team left for the airport.

"In the first spell I bowled in the 2nd ODI against England on Sunday, I tried to experiment and bowl too many bouncers. However, in the second spell, I focused on length and pace, and that's why I was successful." Taskin added.

Taskin was guilty of bowling too short in his first spell, and conceded 19 runs in two overs. When he was brought back into the attack in the 24 th over, the move immediately paid dividends as Jonny Bairstow was dismissed. Taskin was attacking the stumps more often than not, and with the ball zipping off the wicket under the lights, his pace made the difference. The Bangladeshi fast bowler took 3-47 in 8 overs, and played his part in the 34-run win to tie the 3-match series.
