BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today blamed the country’s security vulnerability for the murder of Gaibandha lawmaker Manzurul Islam Liton.

“The country is in the grip of terrorists. It's law and order situation is in a sorry state,” he said in a press statement this afternoon condemning the murder.

Expressing deep shock at the murder, Fakhrul said people’s minimum security has been put in the face of threat due to the anarchical situation created by different associated bodies of the ruling Awami League.

Terrorists equipped with illegal arms are loitering across the country while the law enforcers are being forced to shelter them, he added.
