BNP to ‘hold December-10 rally at any cost’

The BNP will hold its December-10 rally at any cost, the party's standing committee members decided at an emergency meeting today.

Seeking anonymity, a BNP standing committee member told The Daily Star that they are waiting to get a venue but the rally will surely be held in Dhaka.

He said the meeting discussed the latest political situation and decided to move forward with the party's programmes.

The party will make public the committee's decision at a press briefing at party Chairperson Khaleda Zia's Gulshan office at 3:00pm.

Earlier, the committee members held an emergency meeting virtually to discuss the latest political situation and decide on the next course of action.

The meeting started at 11:00am.
