Mirsharai tragedy: Funeral of 9 held

Namaz-e-janaza of five of the 11 teachers and students, who died after a train hit their microbus on a level crossing at Mirsharaiupazila of Chattogram, was held this (July 30, 2022) morning.

The janaza was held at Khandkia Chhamdia Government Primary School ground around 10:20am, reports our Chattogram correspondent.

The school premises was overflowing with mourners as thousands of people attended the funeral.

The janaza of another deceased was held at 11:30am at Najumiya School ground in the upazila while janaza of two others -- Maroof and Jisan, was held last night.

One of the deceased was belonged from Hindu community and his last rites was completed already. The bodies of two of the 11 deceased were taken to their hometown in Hathhazari.
