Jaya dreams of working under Churni Ganguly’s direction 

Jaya Ahsan's upcoming film, "Ardhangini", will be released in India on June 2. The Kaushik Ganguly directorial project will star Jaya in the lead role. In this film, Jaya shares the screen with Churni Ganguly. 

In a recent interview, Jaya revealed her desire to work under the directorial brilliance of Churni Ganguly. 

"I am not only an actor but also a fan of director Churni Ganguly. Someday, I want to work under her direction. While Kaushik da (Kaushik Ganguly) understands the psychology of women well, there is a different dimension to seeing women through a woman's eyes. After watching Churni di's movies like 'Nirbashito' and 'Tarikh', my desire to work with her has grown stronger," said Jaya. 

Churni Ganguly reciprocated the admiration and interest, expressing her enthusiasm for working with Jaya. Although she didn't confirm when this collaboration might happen, Churni shared her deep fondness for Jaya as an actress.

"When I direct, I fall in love with my actors and actresses. In 'Bisarjan', Kaushik only gave me the remaining scenes after shooting, so my love for Jaya is already there. We will work together someday," she said. 

"Ardhangini" shows the stark reality of human relationships. The plot explores two women's positions in a person's life. A man (Kaushik) divorces his first wife (Churni) after a long marriage. Then he marries another woman (Jaya). 

The man suddenly falls into a coma, due to an accident. A complicated situation arises where his current wife (Jaya) runs to his previous wife (Churni) for help. A different kind of chemistry takes place between these two women over a man. 

After "Bishorjon" and "Bijoya," this is the third time Jaya and Kaushik are working together. The film also features Kaushik Sen and Ambarish Bhattacharya.
