Director warns against sharing illegal videos from Shakib Khan's 'Priyotoma'

Shakib Khan's latest film "Priyotoma" has taken the country's cinema halls by storm, with more than a hundred theaters screening the movie. The film has already gained tremendous popularity, resulting in most cinema halls running houseful shows.

However, the film's director, Himel Ashraf, recently took to his Facebook account to address a concerning issue. He sternly warned individuals who have been unlawfully capturing videos from the theatre and posting them on social media platforms to gain views.

He wrote that cybercrime authorities had obtained a list of those responsible for sharing such videos online.

"If you don't want to be in danger, then take down these unauthorised movie videos from the halls to avoid legal repercussions. In fact, around 22,000 unauthorised footage have already been removed," he added.

Ashraf also shed light on the ethical aspects of cinema. He stated that while praising or critiquing a movie for monetary gain is acceptable, spreading false information, engaging in false propaganda, and providing unfavourable reviews for financial motives are deemed wrong and criminal. He urged individuals to watch movies with an open mind and provide constructive criticism if necessary.

"Priyotoma" features Idhika Paul opposite Shakib Khan. The songs from the movie have already created a buzz on social media, generating significant anticipation among the audience. Exciting news awaits international fans as well, with the film set to release in the USA and Canada on July 7.
