Bangladeshi directors can't imagine good roles for me: Nusraat Faria

Nusraat Faria who has made her mark in Tollywood with movies like "Bibaho Obhijaan" and "Notty K '' is seldom seen in Dhallywood movies.

The gorgeous actress who debuted in Tollywood with "Aashiqui: True Love" in 2015 opposite Ankush Hazra is mostly seen in movies in Kolkata. Recently, the actress spoke at an event about why Bangladeshi filmmakers can't imagine roles for her in movies. 

"Bangladeshi directors can't imagine good roles for me. They think that as I am beautiful I can't mold in diverse characters. However, Noor Imran Mithu, was able to prove my worth through 'Patalghor'. I am really happy by all the love and appreciation I have received for this movie from fans and peers in showbiz," said the actress. 

"Directors in West Bengal love to explore me as an artiste. They think about me a lot as they believe I can portray diverse roles," revealed Faria. 

"I have worked as Brinda, a teacher who educated students with autism syndrome in 'Bhoy'. In 'Bibaho Obhijaan', I play a completely off-track character named Rai, a diehard communist. I also have another unique role in 'Rockstar' which will be released soon," said the actress. 

This year has been good for the gorgeous actress as she has been in the news for her scintillating dance track in Raihan Rafi's "Shurongo" and web series "Abar Proloy's" item song "Menuka". She has also gained an overall critical appreciation for her film "Patalghor" which was released in Chorki. 

 

Nusraat Faria also plans on releasing another new track after "Bujhina Toh Tai". The actress also awaits the release of her film "Rockstar" in Kolkata during Puja. "Mujib: The Making of the Nation" is also slated to be released by the end of this year. 

 

"For many years I wanted to work according to the strategy. I think, now I have been getting the kind of work that a female actor needs to establish a career properly." concluded the actress.
