Badhan and her daughter celebrate victory of SAFF Women’s Championship

People from all walks of life have been celebrating the victory of the Bangladeshi women's football team at the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Women's Championship.

The celebrations began around noon at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. The women's football team were taken to the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) House in Motijheel, in an open-top bus to celebrate their homecoming.

Many people gathered by the roadside to congratulate the squad. Some people also joined the parade on foot and on motorcycles.

Actress Azmeri Haque Badhan, along with her daughter Sayra, were also present at the Airport area to witness the historic victory parade of the champions. Badhan posted a picture on her Facebook account.

In the picture, they were seen standing on the Kawla over bridge, smiling. "We are here to celebrate. Welcome the champions!" read the post.

The Bangladesh women's football team defeated Nepal in the finals of the SAFF Women's Championship, winning the title for the first time in Bangladesh's history, on September 19.
