Gas tariff raised by 22.7%

- To be effective in 2 phases

- March 1: Single burner Tk 750, double burner Tk 800

- June 1: Single burner Tk 900, double burner Tk 950

Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has raised average gas tariff by 22.7 percent. The new tariff will be effective in two phases from March 1 and June 1 respectively.

As per the new tariff, the price of household single and double burner will be Tk 750 and Tk 800 from March 1 while Tk 900 and Tk 950 from June 1 respectively.

The BERC last raised the gas tariff in September 2015 when average tariff hiked by 26.29 percent.
