Christian trader’s tenant on fresh remand

A Natore court today placed a man on a fresh three-day remand in connection with the killing of a Christian grocer in Baraigram upazila.

The accused is Sabuj Hossain, 32, a tenant of Sunil Gomez, 60, who was hacked to death at Bonpara Christian Palli in the upazila on June 5.

Senior Judicial Magistrate Shamsul Al Amin placed Sabuj on remand after police produced Sabuj before the court on completion of his two-day remand.

Police today sought a five-day remand for interrogating Sabuk, reports our Natore correspondent.

Law enforcers picked up Sabuj from his rented house around 5:00pm on the day of murder, suspecting his involvement with the incident.
