Uber taxi service is going to be costlier for Dhaka commuters from January 23.

The fare has been increased to Tk 21 per kilometre from Tk 18 per kilometre and to Tk 3 per minute from Tk 2 per minute, which will result in a 20 percent to 22 percent increase in the final fare, according to a notice released on its website today.

However, Tk 50 will be charged for cancelling a ride after more than five minutes of placing the order. The new fare will be applicable from January 23, it said.
