‘Mugger’ held for killing woman in Dhanmondi

Law enforcers have arrested a youth in connection with death of a woman, who was killed during a mugging incident in Dhanmondi area of Dhaka on January 26.
Police arrested Abdullah, 30, in Ashulia area yesterday and seized the vehicle, used in the mugging, according to the news portal of Dhaka Metropolitan Police.
On January 26, muggers in a car pulled the handbag of the victim, Helena Begum, dragged her about 200 yards on a street and drove the vehicle over her. She was killed right there.
On the fateful day, Abdullah was sitting in the backseat and a total of four muggers were involved in the crime, according to police.
He was sent to jail after he gave confessional statement before a court, reports DMP News.
