The team is visiting Rajshahi to investigate Raudha's death following request by the deceased's parents to the government of Maldives in this regard, Rashedul Islam, inspector of Detective Branch (Rajshahi), told our Rajshahi correspondent.

Earlier today, Maldivian team arrived in Dhaka, Amir Zafar, deputy commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP), told the correspondent, adding that they would visit Rajshahi later in the day.

They will also visit the spot where on March 29 Raudha's body was found hanging in her room at the women's dormitory at her college in Nawdapara area of Rajshahi city.

Detective Branch (DB) of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police is now investigating the case filed in this connection with Shah Makhdum Police Station yesterday.

Family members of Raudha earlier rejected the autopsy findings conducted by a three-member medical board that said she committed suicide.

Her family believed that Raudha, a second-year student of Islami Bank Medical College in Rajshahi, was murdered.
