Retired ambassador Mohammad Ziauddin has been appointed as the Ambassador-at-Large again with the status of a state minister.
The Cabinet Division today issued a circular about his re-appointment today.
“He will get the salary, benefits and other facilities of a state minister,” the circular added.
Ziauddin was Ambassador-at-Large during the immediate past tenure of the Awami League-leg grand alliance government.
The retired diplomat during his long career served in different important positions at home and abroad, including Chief of Protocol at the foreign ministry and as ambassador in Italy.
