Youth's body recovered in capital

Police recovered the body of a youth from Pallabi in the capital this morning.

Deceased Sohel (full name could not be known), 18, was a resident of a Bihari camp in Mirpur-11.

Police detained one of Sohel's fellows with whom he was taking hemp on the rooftop of a five-storey under construction building in Pallabi area last night, said Syed Ziauzzaman, officer-in-charge of Pallabi Police Station.

Police covered the body of Sohel near a nearby one-storey building around 6:00am, the OC said.

Police are yet to be ascertained whether Sohel was murdered or fell down from the building, he added.

However, the name of the detainee could not be known immediately.

Sohel worked at a shop of a kitchen market at Mirpur-11.
