RU admission tests postponed
New date to be announced after Eid
The authorities of Rajshahi University (RU) today announced postponement of undergraduate admission tests for 2020-21 academic year.
The decision was made following a meeting held yesterday. The rescheduled date of the admission tests will be announced after Eid-ul-Azha, said Dr Md Sultan-Ul-Islam, acting vice chancellor of the university.
Previously, the admission tests were slated to be held on August 16-18. However, considering the ongoing Covid-19 situation, it would not be possible to hold the exams on the scheduled dates, the acting VC said.
The new dates for the admission tests will be scheduled and announced after Eid-ul-Azha in accordance with the admission test dates for other universities, he also said.
Earlier, the RU authorities announced to hold the admission tests from June 14 following a meeting held in March. However, the authorities announced postponement of the admission tests on May 20 due to the deteriorating pandemic situation across the country and rescheduled the examinations for August.
