DU on-campus classes to resume tomorrow after 18 months

Dhaka University's in-person classes and exams will resume tomorrow after 18 months as the Covid-19 infection rates have declined.

"DU Vice-Chancellor Prof Md Akhtaruzzaman will visit the classrooms tomorrow around 11 am as the university's academic activities are going to start from tomorrow amid Covid-19," said the DU Public Relations Office a press release today.

Students are allowed to attend classes on campus upon showing proof of receiving at least one Covid-19 vaccine dose and maintaining proper health guidelines, said the authorities.

Like other educational institutions, DU had to shut down its campus to curb the spread of Covid-19 in the country.

Earlier on October 5, the university authority opened its dorms for its students.
