Philippines police kill a foreigner linked to IS

Police have killed a foreign insurgent during a skirmish with a pro-Islamic State group in the southern Philippines, an official said yesterday. The firefight erupted as police were hunting down members of the Ansarul Khilafa Philippines (AKP) group on the restive southern island of Mindanao Saturday, local police spokesman Superintendent Romeo Galgo said.
