India has agreed to hold ministerial level Joint River Commission (JRC) meeting at the soonest possible time to resolve the outstanding issues involving water-sharing of the common rivers.

Bangladesh and India also agreed on early resolution of Teesta water-sharing agreement, Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen said this afternoon after the meeting of Joint Consultative Commission with his Indian counterpart S Jaishankar.

He said Bangladesh has raised the concerns over increasing border killings. In response, the Indian side agreed to bring border killings to zero.

"We have a golden chapter of bilateral relationship, but one border killing can bring it down," he told journalists at the ministry.
