Nepal govt suspends anti-corruption chief

The head of Nepal's anti-corruption commission has been suspended after lawmakers accused him of abusing his position and lodged a motion to impeach him, a parliament spokesman said yesterday. Lokman Singh Karki has headed the commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority since 2013 and was a controversial appointment because he had himself been the subject of corruption inquiries.
