UK Minister of State for Asia and the Pacific, Mark Field has urged Bangladesh law enforcers "to uphold due legal process and safeguards over use of force" in the ongoing countrywide drives against narcotics.

Mark Field, the UK lawmaker, in a tweet yesterday, expressed his concern over the "rising number of deaths" in the drives.

At least 139 alleged drug dealers have been killed in the anti-narcotics drive in the last 22 days with most of them killed in the so-called shootouts involving Rab and police.
