Weightlifting tourney underway

The inaugural Weight Lifting Competition, a three-day national tournament organised by the Bangladesh Weight lifting Federation, began at Shailpacharya Zainul Abedin Park in Mymensingh yesterday.

A total of 102 male and 36 female weight lifters are participating on behalf of 21 teams such as Bangladesh Army, Border Guard Bangladesh, Police, Fire Service and Civil Defence, District Sports Associations of Dhaka, Dinajpur, Gazipur and Kishoreganj and Arambagh Club .
