Nepal govt approves charter amendment

Nepal's government on Tuesday approved amendments to the controversial constitution that was rushed through parliament in the wake of the 2015 earthquake, prompting deadly protests by minority groups who said it left them marginalised. "The amendments are a positive step ahead and we believe it will be passed," minister Ramesh Lekhak told AFP.
