Bollywood mourns death of legendary actress Sridevi

The entire Bollywood and television industry is shocked by the news of Sridevi's sudden demise.

The veteran Bollywood actor Sridevi Kapoor, considered by many to be one of the biggest names in Hindi cinema, died after suffering a heart attack in Dubai on Saturday night. She was 54.

The news of her death was confirmed by her brother-in-law Sanjay Kapoor. He told The Indian Express that "Yes, it is true that Sridevi has passed away. It happened roughly around 11:00-11:30. I don't know more details yet", he added.

Sridevi was with her husband Boney Kapoor and daughter Khushi Kapoor in the UAE udring this inicdent.

Indian Prime Minister along with many media personal expressed their grif on the loss of her death.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted his condolences by saying that he was, "Saddened by the untimely demise of noted actor Sridevi..."

President Ram Nath Kovind tweeted that he was "Shocked to hear of passing of movie star Sridevi. She has left millions of fans heartbroken. Her performances in films such as Moondram Pirai, Lamhe and English Vinglish remain an inspiration for

other actors. My condolences to her family and close associates."

Many Bolloywood actors too have tweeted expressing their grief.

Madhuri Dixit tweeted that "...the world has lost a very talented person who left behind a huge legacy in film."

Riteish wrote, "Terrible terrible news…. Am shocked beyond words. SRIDEVI ji No More … RIP,"

Priyanka Chopra and Sushmita Sen also could not believe the news and shared their condolences on Twitter,

Anushka Sharma tweeted that she was, "...shocked and have no words". She gave her "condolenses to her family, freinds and fans..."

 Jacqueline Fernandez expressed her grief by sayng, "An absolute icon. Gone too soon..."

Sidharth Malhotra said that he was, "Really Shocked and disturbed to hear that Sridevi Ma'am is no more..."
