Bangladeshi American fought to save his attacker's life

Rais Bhuiyan, a Bangladeshi American working as a technology professional in Dallas, was shot in his face on September 21, 2001 by a white supremacist named Mark Anthony Stroman. Though Stroman's intention was to kill him as he was a Muslim, Bhuiyan survived to fight for his could be murderer's life.

Yes, it may sound unbelievable, but it is true. Here in this video from Vox, you will know all about the incredible story of Rais Bhuiyan. Rais knows what it is to be a human. He knows that it is the divine force of love that conquers all.

And his quest to save the man who tried to kill him confirmed this truth to him and to the world. With his capability of unconditional love towards humanity he could forgive Stroman, the murderer. And not only that, he could make the white supremacist realise how wrong he actually was in committing those hideous hate crimes.

Although, despite all sorts of attempts, Rais couldn't save Stroman as he was executed for killing two and attempting to kill several others, including Rais, in what he perceived to be a revenge for the 9/11 attacks, Bhuiyan's true victory was that he could turn a racist murderer into a human being at the end.
