Woman, son die in Joypurhat wall collapse

A woman and her son were killed when a mud-wall collapsed on them during a storm in Panchbibi upazila of Joypurhat early Friday.

The deceased were identified as Julekha Begum, 23, wife of Azizul Islam and her son Al-Amin, 8.

Police and family sources said during the storm the mud-wall collapsed on Julekha and Al-Amin in their sleep at their house at Sundarpur-Khashpara village around 6:30am, leaving them dead on the spot.

Azizul was away from home during the incident.
