Woman kills husband, buries under house

A woman was arrested this morning on charges of killing her husband and burying him under their house in Raozan upazila of Chittagong.

The body of Dudu Mia, 40, driver of a CNG-run auto-rickshaw, was dug out around 10:00am after his wife Shahnaj Begum, 25, confessed to killing her husband during an interrogation by the law enforcers, said Md Shahidullah, additional superintendent of Chittagong police (north).

“Another man named Bablu, 25, has been arrested in connection with the incident. He also admitted his involvement in the killing during primary interrogation.”

“Dudu was stabbed to death following family dispute around 10 days ago at his Daksinsatta residence of Chikdair Union. Bablu helped bury him under the house,” the additional SP added quoting the wife.

“Police received information from locals after Dudu Mia remained missing since Eid-ul-Azha.”

The body was taken to Chittagong Medical College for an autopsy.
