Woman killed in Dhanmondi road crash

A woman was killed in a road accident at the capital’s Dhanmondi this afternoon.

Police and witnesses said the accident took place around 5:00pm near the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh on the Satmosjit Road.

They said Khaleda Khanam Kakoli, 35, was run over by a bus after she got off another bus on the middle of the road.

She died on the spot.

Her husband is an assistant professor at the Eden Girls’ College, the police said.

Later, the angry locals vandalised both the vehicles.
