BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia today said her party was waiting for the people’s consent to oust the ruling government and bring change in the country.

She blamed the incumbent Awami League government for crossing all previous limits of corruption and repression on the people.

“The people are fed-up with the misrule of the government. They want change. If people want change we, the BNP, will bring change,” she said.

“We will establish good governance in the country if voted to power in the next,” she said.

Khaleda spoke briefly in a programme marking 50th birth anniversary of her elder son and also the party’s Senior Vice Chairman Tarique Rahman at her Gulshan office this evening.

Everyone is worried of the government-sponsored abduction and enforced disappearance, Khaleda alleged.

She called upon her party men to prepare for enforcing a collective movement across the country in a bid to oust the ruling government.

In the recent times, BNP said they will ‘soon’ wage a movement to dethrone the government and repeatedly asked its activists to prepare in this regard.
