[WATCH] DNCC market fire causes Tk 200 crore damage

A trader’s association leader today claimed goods worth at least Tk 200 crore were damaged as a fire broke out in Gulshan-1 Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) market last night.

A part of the market that houses over 600 shops collapsed during the fire. Businessmen fear the incident was an act of sabotage.

However, SM Talat Regvi, chairman of DNCC Paka Market Trader’s Association, claimed the fire originated from electric short-circuit in the building.
