US advisor for Myanmar due Feb 2
US Senior Advisor for Myanmar Judith Cefkin will travel to Bangladesh for two days since February 2 during his 10-day visit to three countries to consult with international partners including senior government officials and civil society groups on reforms and other developments in Myanmar.
Cefkin will also travel to UK and Myanmar to consult on the same issue, according to a media note issued by the office of the spokesperson yesterday.
"In particular, she will discuss US policies, the peace process, human rights, and international support to local efforts that advance reform," the US media note said.
"Senior Advisor Cefkin will be in London January 30-February 1; Dhaka February 2-3; and Rangoon, Naypyitaw, and other Burmese cities February 3-8," the media note added.
