Tribute to martyrs

Hundreds of people from different parts of the town paid homage to the martyrs of the dreadful night of March 25, 1971 by lighting 5,000 candles in the shape of National Memorial and alpona at Narail Govt. Boys High School playground on Tuesday evening.
Narail Prothom-Alo Bondhu Sobha organised the programme, as part of their regular programmes to mark the occasion since 2006.
A cross section of people paid tributes to the martyrs in the evening.
