2nd Dash-8Q-400 aircraft to arrive February 24, 3rd due on March 4

Says State Minister for Civil Aviation

The second of three new Dash-8Q-400 aircraft purchased from de Havilland in Canada is scheduled to arrive on February 24, State Minister for Civil Aviation Md Mahbub Ali said today.

The third Dash-8Q-400 aircraft will arrive on March 4, he said while speaking as chief guest during an inauguration programme of a Biman Bangladesh Airlines' sales centre in Dhaka's Dhanmondi area. 

He also said the national flag carrier will be able to provide more advanced in-flight services to passengers on its domestic and short-haul international routes after the addition of these aircraft to the fleet.

The new Dash 8Q-400 is a 74-seater aircraft built by De Havilland, a well-known Canadian aircraft manufacturer.

The first such aircraft was added to the fleet on December 27 last year.
