No JSC, JDC exams from now on

From now on, there will be no Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given consent to discontinue the exams for class-8 students, said Akther Unnisa Shiuly, deputy secretary of Secondary and Higher Education Division.

The division sent the proposal to the PMO in December last year, she said.

"The prime minister has approved the proposal," she added.
