"Bangabandhu's life is a tremendous inspiration for all of us," Modi added.

The Indian prime minister came up with the remarks in his tribute to Bangabandhu in a special feature of the 90-page special coffee table book brought out by the Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi to mark the 49th anniversary of Bangladesh's independence and national days.

The publication "Shining Bangladesh" has been dedicated to the celebration of the 100th birth anniversary of Bangabandhu.

Besides messages from Bangladesh President Md Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the book contains some rare historical pictures which capture Bangabandhu's life and political career.

Bangladesh High Commissioner to India Muhammad Imran contributed a write-up on the warm bilateral relation between India and Bangladesh.

The book also contains an English translation of Sheikh Rehana's poem "Baba", done by Farid Hossain, minister (Press) at the Bangladesh mission in India.

The publication of the book, scheduled for the Independence Day of Bangladesh, has been delayed by over two months because of disruptions to normal life due to Covid-19 pandemic.
